I just came across a album that is perfect for a listen as Christians everywhere track through lent. It's a concept of sorts that follows the last days of Christ through death and into new life. There's a lyric in one song that won't leave my head. As I've been thinking about it I've realized that the lyric could be powerful for anyone going through hard times. In the song "goodbye, for now" by cool hand luke there's a line that goes, "I’ll break your heart to mend your soul."
Is something weighing on your heart? Are you going through a challenge that is stretching you in new ways? Has something consistent in your life suddenly been taken? Your pain right now may be necessary for you to begin to mend. The way I see it, getting that soul in proper order is of utmost necessity or more than worth any current heartache.
